“I, CANOVA, EUROPEAN GENIUS”

Laboratorio Italiano was the main sponsor of the exhibition “I, CANOVA, EUROPEAN GENIUS”, featuring the bust of Paolina Borghese Bonaparte, on show in Bassano del Grappa, in the Province of Vicenza, from 15/10/2022 to 12/3/2023.
The event, organized by the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa, under the auspices aegis of the “National Committee for the celebrations of the bicentenary of the death of Antonio Canova”, was a great success, with a turnout of over 81,000 people.

With praise from critics, national and international prominence, and recognition from the Italian Ministry of Tourism as a high-profile event, thanks to its great public appeal, the exhibition managed to win over everyone in closing the rich programme of celebrations for the bicentenary of the death of the artist.

All this would not have been possible without the professionalism of the curators Mario Guderzo and Giuseppe Pavanello, the collaboration with Villaggio Globale International, and the extraordinary staging of Antonio Ravalli studio, which made it possible to rethink the Civic Museum of Bassano and create an authentically “European” exhibition, in both content and execution.
